Description of the Program:

The department of Al Quran and Islamic Studies offers 01 year Master’s Program of the Department of Al Quran and Islamic Studies. A student shall have to take 36 Credit Hours of course, 06 Credit Hours of Thesis works and 02 credit hours viva-voce.

Admission Requirements:

The general academic qualifications for admission to M.A.  in Al Quran & Islamic studies :

1- Students should have passed the B.A.(Hons) examinations with at least GPA 2.50.

2- If the Students passed 2 years B.A. Degree or have Fazil/ Kamil certificates he must have a minimum 2nd class in old system or have least GPA 2.50 out of GPA 4.00, or GPA 3.00 out of GPA 5.00 .

3- Students should have a proficiency in Arabic reading writing and speaking Skills

Grading System:

follows the uniform Grading System of UGC for evaluating the academic performance of the students as given bellow.

Grade Point Average (GPA) & Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA):

The Grade Point Average (GPA) is computed by dividing the total grade points earned by the number of credit hours attempted in a given semester. The Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is completed by dividing the total grade points earned by the total number of credit hours attempted at the University up to a particular semester.

 

Curriculum: Semester: All the programs of the university are of bi-semester. They are Spring and Fall. The duration of Spring semester is from January-June and Fall semester is from July-December.
